Job summary

Abbott Construction LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project teams through all phases of construction with a focus on exceptional customer service.

You will manage one or more projects concurrently, set clear expectations with clients, coordinate pre-construction efforts, and ensure work is performed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans and specs. A proven track record in heavy civil or commercial construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and leadership skills for internal and external purposes.
• Ability and desire to motivate/inspire/develop entire project team.
• Understand accounting, financial statements, job cost, and cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team from conceptual phase of a project to final completion and close out.
• Lead one or more teams simultaneously, ensuring customer and company success on each job.
• Lead pre-construction efforts for potential and secured work.
• Set up the customer relationship so that safety costs are accepted and schedules accommodate safe operations.
• Ensure projects are completed on or before the contract completion date, including punchlist work.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with plans and specs approved by Owner and Engineers.
• Increase the skills and competencies of project teams under supervision.
• Establish customer expectations at the start and ensure they are met or exceeded.
• Provide leadership and management for project teams in customer relationships, business development, estimating, pre-construction, and execution.
• Complete responsibility for project success and the relationship with Abbott and the customer.
• Coordinate with Business Development and PX Team for estimates and final presentations.
