The Hagerman Group in Louisville is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex construction projects from preconstruction through close‑out, coordinating with Owners, design partners, and field teams to deliver on schedule, budget, quality, and safety.

You will mentor staff, manage risk, and drive client relationships while championing safety and a collaborative culture that supports career growth and community impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex construction projects with accountability.
• 14+ years of progressive construction experience in leadership roles.
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to build repeat business.
• Deep knowledge of means and methods, contract administration, and risk management.
• Financial acumen to manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Excellent communication and leadership to guide teams.
• Collaborative leadership style with field expertise.
• Proficiency with construction technology and software (Procore preferred), Microsoft Office, scheduling, and accounting tools.
• Familiarity with AIA contract documents and project administration best practices.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, and quality; valid driver’s license; flexibility to work between office and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from preconstruction through close-out and own results across schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• Serve as primary contact for Owners and design partners, building trust through transparency.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Superintendents, Accounting, and Field teams for startup and execution.
• Review contracts, drawings, and specs to define scope and risks.
• Develop and manage project plans, logistics, and procurement strategies.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor selection to meet project requirements and safety standards.
• Facilitate progress meetings to track milestones and resolve issues.
• Monitor job costs, approve invoices, and manage financial performance against budget.
• Champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with programs.
• Guide close-out activities including punch lists, warranties, and final documentation.
• Mentor project staff and support development opportunities.
• Support business development by strengthening client and industry relationships.
