Job summary
Yates Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager for commercial clients across retail, multi-family, state and federal, military, gaming and hospitality projects. You will be the primary client contact, overseeing subcontractors, leading major cost, schedule and performance decisions, and providing field construction oversight.
The role requires strong leadership, deep construction knowledge, and a proven ability to manage complex projects ($20M+).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction-related field required.
- 10 years of commercial construction management experience required.
- Experience on medium to large projects (>$20M).
- Strong leadership, cost control, scheduling, and safety oversight experience.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and client relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; contract negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead safety culture for projects and supervise field activities.
- Control costs and maintain profitability across projects.
- Manage field construction activity, engineering, and project support.
- Develop and monitor project schedules; ensure timely completion.
- Review cost reports and analyze to improve productivity.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to align work with scope and specs.
- Communicate with architects, inspectors, and owner representatives.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and address safety concerns.
- Monitor quality control and equipment maintenance; ensure timely deliveries.
