Job summary

A Texas-based General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee projects in various sectors including Commercial and Higher Education. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience, strong financial management skills, and a proven track record in managing complex projects. This role is responsible for leading the project lifecycle, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring project quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction.
• Specialized experience in Higher Ed, K-12, and/or Religious facility projects.
• Expert-level understanding of construction financials and cost management.
• Proven ability to lead contract negotiation and administration.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in client-facing roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage field teams, subcontractors, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
• Take full ownership of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Handle contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Act as the primary client-facing representative, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication.
• Ensure projects meet or exceed quality, safety, and compliance standards.
• Mentor junior staff and support internal leadership efforts.
