Job summary

General Atomics, based in Englewood, Colorado, seeks a Senior Construction Project Manager to lead capital projects within the Facilities Engineering Services group. You will drive budgets, schedules, and cross-functional collaboration with architecture, engineering, and procurement to deliver complex programs.

The role requires experience with defense, aerospace, labs or manufacturing projects, strong communication, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s in construction management or related discipline with 11+ years of progressively complex experience in project administration and 5+ years in project management.
• CCM and/or PMP certification desired.
• Experience with SAP or equivalent financial management software is desired.
• Understanding of MEP systems and cloud-based construction management platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, develops, and presents data concerning facility modifications by understanding the customer’s needs.
• Maintains project budgets and provides monthly spend forecasting, change orders evaluations, and cost justifications for funding requests.
• Coordinates with internal architectural, engineering, and pre-construction staff to determine scope, costs, and schedules.
• Facilitates design review process for all project stakeholders to meet design basis and project objectives.
• Monitors project schedules, timelines, and milestones from initiation to completion to achieve goals.
