Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician in Kaukauna, WI to join our PSI team. This role involves performing field and laboratory testing on soils, concrete and related materials, with reporting and coordination with project engineers.

The ideal candidate has testing credentials or willingness to train, plus a valid driver's license and strong communication skills. The position requires outdoor work year-round on construction sites, oversight of tests, and the

Qualifications

HS education or equivalent.
2+ years of relevant experience.
Ability to lift 30–50 pounds frequently, >50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
Reading and interpreting work plans.

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of testing and site observations under supervision or controlled procedures.
Tests soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel placement, fireproofing and asphalt.
Attends project meetings solo and coordinates with engineers/managers.
Trains other technicians and reviews data for reporting.
Operates testing equipment and interprets results in field and lab.
Documents daily activities and prepares field reports.
Works from drawings, specs and diagrams.
Works outdoors year round on construction sites.
Maintains detailed test data and supports data interpretation.
