Job summary

Tampa Bay Water seeks a Construction Manager to lead the Construction Department and supervise Project Managers and Inspectors. You will oversee internal teams and consultants, enforce standards, and ensure safe, compliant delivery of capital and maintenance projects.

Responsibilities include contract administration, project closeout, and coordination with engineers, operations staff, and regulators. Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years in construction management or related field with oversight of projects, consultants and contractors.
• Two years of managing professional staff, workload planning and performance development.
• Experience with major projects $1M–$10M, schedule, cost control, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Construction Department staff and align work with Agency objectives.
• Oversee contracts from Board approvals through closeout and manage contractors.
• Review plans/specs for constructability and ensure proper documentation.
