Job summary

GCI Communication Corp. is seeking a Construction Manager III to lead multiple concurrent projects from concept to final construction within the Technology Solutions department.

You will coordinate materials, equipment, teams, and contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The role requires six or more years in construction/project management, a BS in engineering/management/telecom or related field, and strong leadership, communication, and safety abilities.

Qualifications

• A combination of relevant work experience and/or education may substitute to meet total years required on a year-for-year basis
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor of Science in engineering, management, business, telecommunications, or related field
• Minimum six (6) years professional construction management, project management, and/or engineering experience to include developing project budgets and schedules
• New Hires: NCTI Course – “Project Management” enrollment within 90 days and course completion within 6 months of hire
• Internal Promotion from Construction Manager II to Construction Manager III: NCTI Course – “Project Management” completed
• Preferred: CCM or PMP certification
• Preferred: Telecommunications experience
• Preferred: Logistics and procurement experience

Responsibilities

• Contract and oversee outside consultants and contractors; coordinate with agencies and property owners
• Attend coordination and progress meetings; visit sites during construction
• Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules using Gantt and PERT methods
• Define scope of work and bill of materials; oversee procurement of materials and equipment
• Order and manage delivery of power and backhaul
• Maintain accurate documentation of projects
