Job description

As a Senior Construction Manager, Power Infrastructure, you will play a critical role in delivering large-scale power infrastructure projects that enable reliable and scalable data center operations. Your leadership will be central to driving consistent execution across power development projects by managing schedules, costs, risks, and coordination with power developers and delivery partners. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will help translate development requirements and contractual obligations into disciplined, on-the-ground construction execution that supports broader data center growth objectives.

From a construction delivery perspective, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating complex power infrastructure activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards while maintaining control of schedule and budget performance. You will engage with developers, contractors, and internal partners to proactively identify and resolve issues, escalating risks that could impact delivery, and support continuous improvement across projects. By applying strong technical judgment, structured problem‑solving, and a proactive leadership approach, you will help ensure power infrastructure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in support of the organization’s long‑term operational reliability and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee developer‑led construction activities and coordinate with stakeholders to identify and address execution issues that could impact safety, schedule, cost, or quality.
  • Support and enforce standardized construction management practices for safety, quality, schedule, and cost control, ensuring consistent application across assigned power infrastructure projects.
  • Review and analyze construction schedules, coordinate sequencing with power developers and contractors, and identify impacts or recovery actions required to maintain critical milestones.
  • Track construction budgets, commitments, forecasts, and change activity, supporting financial discipline and escalation of cost impacts or trends that could affect approved budgets.
  • Identify construction‑related risks, constructability challenges, and coordination gaps. Proactively upscale issues and potential impacts to leadership to support timely mitigation and informed decision‑making.
  • Monitor compliance with approved QA/QC plans, technical requirements, and applicable codes and standards, supporting resolution and closeout of quality deficiencies.
  • Promote safety best practices and validate compliance with Site Specific Safety Plans across all construction activities, supporting a strong safety culture on project sites.
  • Partner with internal engineering, program management, commissioning, and operations teams, as well as power developers and contractors, to ensure alignment and effective coordination throughout construction.
  • Participate in regular project site visits to validate progress, coordination, safety, and quality, and to identify potential execution risks or gaps.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring construction issues, process gaps, and opportunities to strengthen delivery performance across power infrastructure projects.

Work from home/remote; 25% travel per month, up to 50% at times.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6‑10 years of experience in power infrastructure construction management supporting large‑scale or mission‑critical projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction and project management fundamentals, including schedule, cost, risk, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to internal teams, developers, contractors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex construction challenges and drive effective issue resolution.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse, cross‑functional teams and external partners in fast‑paced project environments.

This is a senior, individual‑contributor role.
