Job Description

Leads and manages the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Supervises multiple project teams, offering strategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during project cycles. Leads the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Leads the management of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Supervises comprehensive site walks and directs the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to senior management. Oversees the primary point of contact role between the company and colocation providers. Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.

  • -Manages project budgets, optimizing resourceallocation to ensure cost-effective project execution.
  • -Supervises multiple project teams, offeringstrategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during projectcycles.
  • -Leads the creation, review, and maintenance ofdocumentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solvingpapers, guaranteeing team compliance with standards, effective documentmanagement, and the suitability of all materials for their intended purpose.
Construction Project Management-Project Integration and Quality Assurance:
  • -Leads the management of quality control processesto ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industrystandards.
  • -Oversees the coordination and integration oftenant fit out projects, ensuring effective communication and addressingchallenges during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • -Supervises comprehensive site walks to ensureschedule adherence, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
  • -Directs the startup and commissioning phases ofmajor data center projects, ensuring all systems are operational and meetdesign specifications.
Risk and Problem Management:
  • -Oversees the evaluation of risk profilesassociated with timely project delivery for multiple projects.
  • -Addresses gaps in risk identification andmitigation and communicates potential impacts to senior management.
  • -Develops and oversees the implementation ofmitigation strategies for major construction project risks to ensure projectsuccess.
Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
  • -Oversees the primary point of contact rolebetween the company and colocation providers, ensuring clear and effectivecommunication and coordination across multiple teams.
  • -Develops and maintains strategic relationships tosupport internal and external stakeholders effectively, contributing tostrategic planning and decision-making.
  • -Leads the selection, negotiation, and managementof contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuringcontract compliance and performance, and overseeing the resolution ofsignificant contract issues.
Design Coordination and Improvement:
  • -Oversees collaboration with design teams toensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans andspecifications, coordinating across multiple teams.
  • -Provides strategic colocation provider evaluationinput for continuous improvement, contributing to strategic planning anddecision-making.
  • -Leads the installation of power, cooling,networking, and structured cabling systems, ensuring adherence to qualitystandards and overseeing the resolution of significant installation issues.

  • -Drives cross-functional partnerships to align onexpectations and shared objectives across multiple teams. Coaches team membersto develop strategic relationships with business leaders, stakeholders, andexternal partners to foster collaboration and long-term success. Promotesinclusivity by actively seeking and listening to diverse perspectives, ensuringothers feel heard and respected.
Problem Solving:
  • -Provides direction to multiple teams onaddressing complex operational and/or technical issues as well as providingguidance on analyzing complex data and/or information to identify solutions.Reviews and provides insights into unresolved or critical issues, helping theteam to identify potential solutions.

  • -Models engaging in continuous learning to deepenexpertise and stay ahead of industry trends, integrating best practices intostrategic planning. Leverages feedback to drive personal and team skillimprovements. Identifies skill gaps across teams, and empowers team members topursue learning and knowledge sharing opportunities that build their expertisein new areas and coaches them to apply learnings to advance the organization.
Continuous Improvement:

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $126,200 to $264,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
