Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Construction Manager to supervise multiple project managers on nationwide projects. The role requires leading project teams, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and guiding supervisors toward shared goals across diverse sites.

The position involves travel, budgeting, risk management, and ensuring safety, quality, and client satisfaction while maintaining strong relationships with owners and subcontractors. An emphasis on integrity and leadership pervades the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field.
• Experience as a Senior Project Manager supervising project managers and other subordinates.
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in ground-up light industrial and/or cold storage projects ranging from $60M+.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple project managers and project teams to deliver projects.
• Ensure project cost projections align with profit objectives.
• Monitor scheduling, procurement, and job costs across sites.
• Foster relationships with owners, subs, vendors, and architects.
• Ensure policies and safety standards are upheld on all projects.
• Mentor and develop junior staff for future opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
• Communicate project performance and risks to leadership.
