Job summary

Layton Construction in the United States seeks a Construction Manager to lead multiple project teams and supervise project managers. The role entails driving cost projections, ensuring safety and quality, and aligning with strategic planning for large-scale projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years as a Project Manager, experience with industrial and cold storage projects, and strong leadership. Travel nationwide is frequent to support assigned sites and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience as a Senior Project Manager overseeing project managers and subordinates.
• At least 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in ground-up light industrial and/or cold storage projects ranging from $60M+.

Responsibilities

• Champions “The Layton Way” by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external teams, and customers.
• Ensures that “Constructing with Integrity” is delivered by working with honesty, unity, safety, and quality of work.
• Participates in the operating unit’s fiscal and strategic business planning; may participate in business unit strategic planning.
• Calculates project cost projections and ensures they align with profit objectives.
• Monitors policy and procedure performance and provides guidance to field personnel on assigned projects.
• May supervise multiple project assistants and other team positions.
• Maintains relationships with vendors, owners, architects, community and state officials, and the public.
