Job summary

Air Systems, Inc. seeks an experienced Construction Manager to lead Project Managers and teams on complex commercial and industrial mechanical and plumbing buildouts. You will report to the Director of Construction and drive portfolio execution, financial performance, and staff development.

You will collaborate with Sales, Estimating, and Preconstruction to position upcoming work and ensure successful project delivery. Competitive salary and strong benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction industry experience with mechanical, piping, HVAC, or industrial PM responsibility.
• Proven experience leading Project Managers or multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong financial acumen including WIP, forecasting, cost control, and margins.
• Experience with change orders, contract admin, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
• Strong client relationships, communications, coaching, and organization.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop PMs, APMs, and project staff.
• Assign projects based on experience, workload, and complexity.
• Lead monthly WIP reviews and assist with financial reporting and forecasts.
• Partner with field teams to set production goals and KPIs.
• Monitor performance and drive corrective actions for risk areas.
• Support change order preparation and negotiation, escalate disputes.
• Serve as senior escalation point for client concerns and conflicts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Estimating, and Preconstruction on opportunities.
• Promote project controls, safety, quality and continuous improvement.
