Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Project/Construction Manager to lead heavy civil and highway programs in Tennessee. You will manage the CEI team, oversee roadway and bridge contracts, and coordinate with clients, subconsultants, and field staff.

The role requires 15+ years in roadway/structures construction, TN project leadership, and strong contract administration. PE or CCM is preferred for the position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in roadway and structures construction.
• 5+ years of experience managing construction projects in Tennessee.
• Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret contracts and construction plans and specifications.
• Ability to train, coordinate, and supervise inspection technicians in the field.
• Understanding of QA/QC development and execution process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all elements of roadway and bridge projects ensuring contract compliance.
• Oversee heavy civil, highway, and bridge projects and lead teams of junior PMs, inspectors, and reviewers.
• Participate in preconstruction scoping, utility conflicts, constructability and bidability.
• Monitor project progress and adherence to plans and specs.
• Ensure CM/CEI staff training and equipment needs.
• Recruit, select, manage, and train Construction Management/CEI staff.
