Job summary

KBR seeks a senior Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of a large federal facility in Central Kentucky. The role requires interfacing daily with Army and USACE leadership, managing budgets, schedules, and safety across multiple subcontractors to ensure timely turnover to manufacturing operations.

The candidate should have extensive DoD construction experience, heavy industrial plant knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with process and commissioning teams for a smooth transition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM/Engineering or related field; 4 years may substitute
• 15+ years of progressive construction management on heavy industrial projects including 10+ years on federal programs
• Senior on-site CM for at least one program valued at $500M+
• Experience constructing chemical/energetics/munitions facilities or similar
• Extensive U.S. Army/Govt liaison experience with Army/USACE
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS contract requirements and government submittal/RFI processes
• USACE EM 385-1-1 safety requirements knowledge
• CQM-C certification and OSHA 30-hour certification
• Experience managing large subcontractor teams (300+ craft personnel)
• Willingness to relocate to Central Kentucky for 3–5 years

Responsibilities

• Direct all on-site construction activities for a $900M+ facility
• Interface with U.S. Army, USACE, installation leadership, and Government stakeholders
• Manage subcontractors, self-perform crews, and quality standards
• Enforce safety programs per EM 385-1-1 and DoD criteria
• Oversee cost, schedule, and earned value; manage changes and RFIs
• Coordinate sequencing with vendors, commissioning, and operations
• Ensure QA/QC per USACE three-phase process; closeout punch lists
• Support environmental compliance during construction
• Lead and mentor a multi-discipline construction management team
