Job summary

KBR, Inc in Kentucky seeks a senior Construction Manager to lead on-site execution of a $900M+ energetics manufacturing facility for the U.S. Army.

You will own site mobilization through commissioning, interfacing with Army, USACE, installation leadership, and other government stakeholders to deliver a complex federal project. The role requires proven large-scale federal construction experience, safety leadership, schedule discipline, and management of multi-trade teams, with emphasis on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; four additional years may substitute.
• 15+ years of progressive construction management on heavy industrial projects.
• Senior on-site manager for federal/industrial programs valued at $500M+.
• Experience with chemical/energetics facilities and hazardous processes.
• Extensive Army or Government liaison experience and USACE interface.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, submittals, RFIs, and change management.
• USACE EM 385-1-1 safety framework knowledge; CQM-C certification preferred.
• Ability to relocate to Central Kentucky for 3–5 year assignment.

Responsibilities

• Direct all on-site construction activities for a $900M+ facility.
• Interface with Army, USACE district, installation staff, and safety/security teams.
• Manage subcontractors, self-perform crews, and quality across packages.
• Enforce safety compliance with DoD criteria and Zero Harm culture.
• Oversee cost, schedule, and EV performance; manage changes and RFIs.
• Coordinate sequencing with vendors, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Lead QA/QC following USACE three-phase process; close out punch lists.
• Support environmental compliance and site documentation; mentor team.
