ByVerTek is seeking a Telecommunication Senior Construction Manager to oversee planning, coordination, and execution of telecom infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate brings directional boring supervision experience with interstate SRP and highway.

You will lead project teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery while managing budgets and resources. Local candidates only; CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in telecommunications construction management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of telecom infrastructure including fiber optics, wireless networks, and cable systems.
• Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Directional boring supervisory experience with interstate SRP and highway.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and safety/quality control procedures.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a directional boring supervisory experience specifically with interstate SRP and highway, with a strong background in telecommunications, project management, and construction, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do:

Project Management

• Lead and manage telecommunication construction projects from inception to completion.
• Coordinate with Project Management team to execute project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of project teams, including engineers, technicians, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure high performance and adherence to project standards.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Planning and Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project specifications and design plans.
• Coordinate with local authorities, utility companies, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
• Ensure proper resource planning and logistics management for materials and equipment.

Quality Control and Safety

• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure all work meets industry standards and project specifications.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor compliance with safety and quality standards.

Communication and Reporting

• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Prepare and present regular project status reports, including progress updates, budget tracking, and risk assessments.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.

Budget and Cost Management

• Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce project costs without compromising quality.
• Manage contracts and negotiate terms with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years+ of experience in telecommunication construction management or a similar role.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• CDL preferred.

Education

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Military supervisory experience a plus.
• Must perform work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and perform under pressure.
• Must negotiate timeframes for completion and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be willing and able to work with other coworkers to complete job assignments.
