Job summary

City National Bank is seeking a Lead Loan Administrator – Construction in Los Angeles to manage end-to-end servicing of complex Commercial Construction loans. You will monitor budgets, set up loans, review documents, disburse funds, and coordinate with title, legal, and appraisal teams to ensure compliance with loan agreements and timelines.

Ideal candidate has extensive experience in construction loan administration, strong project management skills, and a client-facing mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in Construction Loan Administration/Commercial Real Estate.
• Experience with large financial institutions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review credit memo and loan agreement ensuring terms and budget align with approved credit.
• Enter new construction loans and set up budgets for complex projects.
• Ensure new loan set up line item budgets align with credit approval and Construction Loan Agreement.
• Review disbursement draws to ensure funding within the budget.
• Review and approve draws for disbursement.
• Obtain approval for budget change request line item.
• Reconcile borrower’s construction loan budget to bank records.
• Obtain title insurance date down/change orders for draw request.
• Order third party inspection reports, process invoicing and reconciliation.
• Track and follow up on receipt and approval of inspection and title date down reports.
• Monitor use of borrower funds and disburse funds accordingly.
• Monitor interest reserve adequacy on all accounts.
• Monitor and reconcile Construction Loan Disbursement Report.
• Maintain and monitor current property and general liability insurance for all files.
• Interface with relationship managers, title companies, legal counsel, appraisal department, construction services, accounting and etc.
