Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking a Project Construction Specialist to lead interference relocation packages, develop work processes, and support construction projects across disciplines. You will coordinate with municipal agencies, contractors and company departments to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes environmental protection, safety compliance, and effective communication with senior leadership and government partners.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years of full-time construction experience in civil, electrical, gas, steam, HVAC, fire detection, or remediation.
• Experience with contract specifications, drawings, scheduling and planning.
• Experience with NYSDOT, NYCDDC, DEP, EDC, Parks and NYC Transit Authority engineering and construction groups.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary interface between field organizations, municipal agencies, and contractors on major projects.
• Develop long-range initiatives to reduce cost while meeting environmental and safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S standards during city/municipal projects.
• Coordinate planning processes and review work plans with leadership.
• Monitor public improvements and emergency responses related to projects.
• Conduct field visits to assess QA/QC improvements and human performance.
• Assist in developing and implementing capital and O&M plans within budget.
• Review field documentation and payment packages for compliance and efficiency.
• Attend high-level planning meetings with project stakeholders and liaise with City/State agencies.
