Job summary

Clark Construction Group is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules. You will oversee self-performed and contracted work while maintaining a culture that prioritizes exceptional client value.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline, or relevant work experience.
• 10+ years of experience on large-scale commercial construction projects.
• 4+ years leading, developing, and motivating teams.
• Experience building high-rise residential, mixed use, or higher education projects.
• In depth knowledge of the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, and personnel.
• Demonstrated experience leading field operations and communicating plans effectively across multiple audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable safety and building regulations (i.e., OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the timely and quality installation of contracted work for the project.
• Implement safety and quality culture among Clark employees and trade contractors with regular inspections.
• Create and manage plans to sequence work, manage logistics, and track materials and personnel.
• Ensure high quality work consistent with project standards.
• Lead the project to deliver on schedule and budget.
• Develop, update, and communicate the project schedule and milestones.
• Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to achieve universal buy-in on the schedule.
• Mentor and develop team members to build a high-functioning team.
• Cultivate relationships with project stakeholders.
• Represent the company professionally in meetings and interactions.
• Understand owner contracts, subcontracts, and vendor agreements.
• Contribute to staff charts, general conditions, and KPI awareness.
• Participate in close-out activities including punch lists and training.
• Demonstrate problem-solving to overcome obstacles and risks.
• Create a project site environment that motivates the team.
• Recruit and attract top industry talent to Clark.
• Exceed stakeholder expectations by anticipating needs and goals.
