Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Construction Inspector to support engineers and lead project teams in the coordination, execution, and management of construction efforts. The base location is flexible, with Denver metro area preferred and a willingness to work remotely.

The role requires 5 years of municipal/CDOT inspection experience, relevant certifications, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to work long hours during construction season and develop a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related municipal or CDOT construction inspection experience.
• DOT, ACI, or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc) and Outlook proficiency.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Commitment to quality and integrity.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take on more responsibilities.
• Superior interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Openness to innovation with evolving technology and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, execute, and manage engineering construction projects.
• Perform calculations using engineering formulas.
• Assist with development and implementation of engineering and construction-related services.
• Supervise less experienced staff and develop a solid team.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Work long hours during construction season; possible reduced hours in off-season.
