Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a Lead Construction Inspector with a flexible base location, preferably on Colorado's Western Slope, and a willingness to work remotely. You will support engineers, coordinate construction management, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget during peak seasons.

The role requires 5 years of related experience in municipal or CDOT construction inspection, plus DOT/ACI certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of related experience in municipal or CDOT construction inspection required.
• DOT, ACI, or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc) and Outlook proficiency, with an ability to learn more software packages as the work requires.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• A willingness to learn new skills, take on new challenges, and eventually take on increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to engineers and acts as an assistant construction project team leader and manager.
• Coordinates, executes, and manages engineering projects; performs calculations using engineering formulas.
• Assists with analysis for development and implementation of engineering and construction-related services.
• Supervises less experienced staff and/or technical support and develops a solid team.
• Works long hours during construction season and may have minimal project-related hours during non-construction season.
