Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Foreman to supervise crews and direct on-site operations in Welkom. This hands-on role ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to high quality standards, coordinating tasks, securing materials, and enforcing company policies on site.

The ideal candidate has proven supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or similar supervisory role.
Solid understanding of construction processes, tools and equipment.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Supervise and direct the daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
Manage on-site material procurement and inventory, ensuring timely availability of resources.
Conduct daily toolbox talks on safety and project progress.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe job site environment.
Inspect work quality and provide feedback and guidance to crew members.
Report on project progress, issues, and resource needs to the Project Manager.
