Job summary

Elmington Construction is seeking an experienced estimator/PM for our Nashville area projects. You will oversee overall estimate completeness, accuracy and control of project budgets, coordinating with subs and vendors to ensure complete bid packages and reliable cost management.

The role requires a minimum four years in construction estimating or PM, a construction-related degree, and proficiency with plans, take-offs, and estimating software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years experience in the construction field (estimating or project management).
• 4 Year College Degree (Construction Engineering/Building Science/Construction Management Focus).
• Proficient with blueprint reading and document interpretation for all design disciplines.
• Proficient with communication of planset/bid package requirements to subcontractors.
• Demonstrate effective use of estimating-related software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare clear, properly formatted take-offs for all CSI divisions (simple to complex).
• Perform job-specific take-offs for active jobs.
• Prepare material lists for projects.
• Confirm estimate conforms with local municipalities' requirements.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure owner intent alignment.
• Assemble complete Excel estimates from bids, takeoffs, and historical data.
• Lead pre-bid conferences and coordinate with vendors.
