Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience in the commercial/building sector.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, civil and MEP documents.
• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software.
• Strong analytical, negotiating, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specs, scopes and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material and equipment costs.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify risks, value-engineering opportunities and cost-saving options.
• Prepare bid packages and support tender submissions.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers and clients.
• Maintain current pricing databases and historical cost information.
• Support project handover from preconstruction to operations.
