Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Estimator with experience in residential construction and building project estimation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction drawings, material take-offs, subcontractor coordination, and cost estimation.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to take ownership of estimation projects, work independently, and collaborate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients throughout the estimating process.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with new and existing clients to gather project information and requirements for accurate construction estimates.
• Review construction drawing sets and perform detailed material and quantity take-offs.
• Quantify flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting fixtures, siding, glazing, interior and exterior doors, and other construction materials and finishes.
• Contact subcontractors and vendors to obtain proposals, pricing, and project quotations.
• Develop project budgets, organize estimate structures, and prepare estimates for management review.
• Coordinate with internal teams to prioritize estimating projects and meet deadlines.
• Maintain and update pricing databases with current vendor and subcontractor rates.
• Maintain accurate subcontractor records and update the master subcontractor database.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure construction drawings and project documentation in Procore are accurate and up to date.
• Identify and coordinate with WBE and MBE businesses when required by project specifications.

Requirements

• Experience in residential construction estimating.

• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with Procore and BuildingConnected.
• Familiarity with SharePoint.
• Experience with Togal is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Knowledge of high-performance construction, energy-efficient building methods, or Passive House techniques is a plus.
