Job summary

UniTek Global Services, Inc. seeks a Divisional Controller to be the senior finance partner for construction divisions. You will oversee project controls, job costing, revenue recognition, billing, collections, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to support divisional leadership.

The role requires GAAP expertise, spectrum system proficiency, and strong leadership to drive corrective actions and improve working capital. Office-based role with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have seven or more years in operational accounting or finance with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in construction, telecommunications, utilities, infrastructure, or project-based industries preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial oversight across the project lifecycle including setup, budgets, production, revenue, billing, and closeout.
• Ensure construction projects are accurately configured in Spectrum including contracts, rates, codes, budgets, and production quantities.
• Oversee unit-price revenue recognition by reconciling field data, Spectrum entries, billings and collections per GAAP.
• Direct job costing and cost control for labor, materials, subcontractors, equipment, and overhead.
• Lead profitability reviews to identify margin erosion, cost overruns, and risks, driving corrective actions.
• Oversee billing, AR, dispute resolution, retainage, collections, and cash-flow improvement.
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses; explain variances and reconciliations.
• Reconcile ADP payroll, labor allocations, accruals, and ledger interfaces.
• Plan monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with journal entries and management reporting.
