Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Cost Estimator to develop and maintain construction cost estimates for capital projects across campus. You will provide independent cost analyses, assist in scope and budget development, and support decision-making with market benchmarking and data-driven insights.

The role requires a Bachelor's in construction management (or related field), 5 years of construction management experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction management experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong cost estimating, budgeting, and market analysis skills.
• Ability to read large-format schematics, blueprints, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains construction cost estimates for capital projects.
• Provides independent cost analyses and recommendations during planning and design phases.
• Assists in budget development and scope evaluation to control costs.
• Performs market analysis and benchmarking for labor, materials, and escalation.
• Reviews estimates from design consultants and contractors for consistency with budgets.
• Supports project teams with cost data and decision support.
