Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is seeking an experienced professional for forensic cost estimation and disputes support. You will lead projects, develop detailed cost estimates, review bids, analyze changes, and prepare expert reports for litigation and insurance matters.

The role requires 10–15 years in construction cost estimating or forensic consulting, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with RSMeans or Xactimate. Travel is occasional.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and coordinates forensic and consulting projects involving construction cost estimation, damages quantification, and construction defect analysis.
• Prepares and reviews detailed construction cost estimates and loss-of-use calculations for litigation and insurance clients.
• Evaluates contractor bids, change orders, and construction budgets; identifies overcharges, errors, and discrepancies.
• Reviews construction documents, contracts, specifications, and schedules to evaluate compliance with standards and scope.
• Authors high-quality technical reports and expert opinions on construction cost and damages matters.
• Provides expert testimony at deposition and trial.
• Conducts well-developed and well-prepared client presentations.
