Kumi Construction Management Corporation is seeking a full time Construction Cost Estimator to assist in the preparation of cost estimates for the City of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position will report directly to the Chief Estimator.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the employ of a construction consulting firm or a construction contractor.
• Experience using electronic quantity take-off software.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products and estimating software.
• Strong mathematical, computer, organization and communication skills.
• Time Management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs from plans using PlanSwift software
• Prepare cost estimates at all design submission levels
• Communicate with client regarding project document clarifications
• Request for price quotes from manufacturers, suppliers and other vendors
• Create conceptual and detailed cost estimates
• Follow-up on bid status
• Other duties and requirements as directed by supervisor
