Job summary

US Army Corps of Engineers in the United States seeks a Civil Engineer to oversee on-site construction control and inspection, applying EM-385-1-1 and RMS 3.0 guidelines to a range of projects.

You will stay current with policy changes, supervise trades teams, and implement Resident Engineer policies across all contract-management phases. Daily site travel with PPE and exposure to heat/cold are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering with ABET accreditation.
• In-depth knowledge of EM-385-1-1 and RMS 3.0.
• Experience in construction contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Keeps up to date on policy changes or updates to EM-385-1-1, RMS 3.0 and other Engineering Regulations related to construction and quality assurance.
• Applies engineering principles in performing, directing, and supervising on-site construction control and inspection work.
• Construction projects managed include HTRW; detention facilities; wastewater treatment and distribution; utilities; security systems; multipurpose building; dormitories, etc.
• Implements Resident Engineer's policies for all phases of contract management.
