Job summary

NYC Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) seeks an Engineering Auditor for its Engineering Audit Operation. Qualifications

• One year of full-time satisfactory experience in supervising employees performing project management work on engineering and/or architectural projects, or supervising a construction project valued at $1,000,000 or more.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, architecture, construction management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to assess costs for reasonableness and compliance with contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring construction services and equipment are delivered per contract.
• Reviewing change orders for proper classification and documentation.
• Evaluating pricing and conducting field inspections to verify work quality.
• Issuing reports detailing findings and deductions from reviews.
• Conducting final reviews to certify fairness of contract changes and payments.
