Job summary

CLA is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for our Construction Industry practice in Appleton, Wisconsin, within the CAAS group. The role focuses on supporting client accounting services, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with engagement teams.

You will manage daily transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while upholding quality and professional standards. A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of accounting experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience.
• Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Develops an understanding of each client’s business/organization operations.
• Leads coordination and processing of accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts and payroll postings.
• Coordinates and reviews account reconciliations and prepares financial statements; reviews general ledger and cash flow.
• Completes sales tax returns and Form 1099s and prepares audit workpapers and other client deliverables.
• Oversee workflow and quality of work of Associates and Analysts; supports special projects and process improvements.
