Job summary

R.H. White Construction in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage day-to-day functions and ensure accurate financial reporting across entities.

Reporting to the Controller, you will supervise staff and ensure compliance with policies, audits, and tax regulations. The role requires a 4-year degree in accounting, 10 years in construction accounting, ERP experience (COINS preferred), and strong communication and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting; CPA preferred.
• 10 years of construction accounting or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, auditing, payroll, AP, and AR.
• ERP software proficiency; COINS experience preferred.
• Office 365 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety policies and code of conduct.
• Review staff work to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely month-end close and related documentation.
• Perform analyses of financial statements and monthly reports.
• Oversee payroll tax reconciliation for multi-entity payroll across states.
• Maintain data integrity in the accounting system.
• Lead special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests.
