Job summary

firstPRO, Inc. is seeking a Senior Connected Vehicle Solutions Architect to provide architecture leadership across our Connected Vehicle technology environment. Hybrid work with 3 days onsite is required; direct hire, senior-level leadership for Java, AWS, and cloud modernization.

You will collaborate with engineering, security, product, and business teams to craft scalable, secure solutions and guide development standards, tooling, and AI-assisted approaches across platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of technology leadership in architecture and engineering.
• Experience in Connected Vehicle, automotive, mobility, IoT or similar complex environments.
• Strong Java development background and modern software engineering practices.
• Deep hands-on AWS cloud design and cloud migration experience.
• Proven track record leading cloud migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud security and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership across the Connected Vehicle technology environment.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, governance, development guidelines, and approved technology practices.
• Develop practical, scalable technology solutions rather than focusing solely on roadmaps, diagrams, or white papers.
• Lead and influence architecture decisions across application development, cloud, DevOps, security, integration, and emerging technologies.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, tools, and development approaches and determine which should be adopted.
• Partner with engineering, development, infrastructure, security, product, and business teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Establish standards and best practices for: Application development, Cloud architecture, Developer experience, DevOps and CI/CD, Security, Integration patterns, Approved technologies and development tools, Artificial intelligence and AI-assisted development tools
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development and engineering teams.
• Drive architecture modernization and cloud adoption initiatives.
• Help ensure solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Stay current with cloud, software development, AI, integration, and Connected Vehicle technology trends.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive technology experience, with significant experience in architecture and engineering leadership.
• Experience within Connected Vehicle, automotive, mobility, IoT, or similarly complex technology environments.
• Strong foundation in Java application development and modern software engineering practices.
• Recent, deep hands-on experience designing and implementing AWS cloud architectures.
• Proven experience leading or architecting cloud migration initiatives.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience establishing technical standards, governance, architecture patterns, and development best practices.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, cloud security, and modern developer tooling.
• Experience with AI/ML platforms and AI-assisted software development tools.
