Ashurst Perkins Coie US LLP is seeking a seasoned Conflicts Attorney to analyze conflicts of interest for new business, mergers, and lateral hires, ensuring compliance with professional standards across jurisdictions.

The role involves drafting waivers, advising on ethical issues, and leading projects while coordinating with domestic and international offices. A JD and at least five years of practice, including conflicts/ethics experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate required; bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum five years of practice experience; two years as Conflicts Attorney or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyze conflicts of interest for new business, lateral hires, and mergers; draft waivers and advise on ethics.
• Resolve conflicts for firm lateral hires; manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize, plan, and meet deadlines; provide training on conflicts issues.
• Lead small projects and coordinate workload coverage.
• Provide backup to department Directors; act as strategic advisor on complex conflicts.
• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda for firm lawyers and committees.
• Draft complex waivers and representation letters; negotiate between parties.
• Maintain professional conduct and teamwork across domestic and international offices.
