Job summary

Independent Software is seeking a Configuration Manager to lead the installation, configuration, and integration of enterprise software productivity and configuration management tools. You will administer ClearCase and ClearQuest, support Jira workflows, and develop automation scripts to streamline project tracking and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities include maintaining repositories, supporting security-compliant tool environments, and delivering documentation and training to project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 4 more years can substitute for degree
• Minimum of ten years combined experience in software/configuration management roles
• Six years as Tools Engineer on similar programs
• DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification required
• Active TS SCI with Polygraph clearance required
• Experience with enterprise productivity tools and lifecycle processes

Responsibilities

• Support research, evaluate, and recommend configuration management tools
• Install, integrate, configure, administer, maintain, and upgrade tools and infrastructure
• Administer ClearCase and ClearQuest environments including upgrades and troubleshooting
• Develop automated solutions to improve workflows and tracking
• Maintain requirements repositories and support requirements management
• Support and maintain project tracking tools like JIRA
• Develop scripts and automation in Perl, Bash, Shell, Python, or similar
• Create and maintain technical documentation for tools and processes
• Perform backup, recovery, and maintenance for tool databases
• Monitor licenses and tooling assets; provide training and support
• Collaborate with infrastructure to integrate tools into enterprise workflows
• Support process automation and system integration for mission-focused environments
