Job summary

Infinity Systems Engineering seeks a System Configuration Lead to oversee the lifecycle of IT systems and software configurations. You will be the central authority on tracking configuration items, enforcing standards, and ensuring baseline definitions across hardware, software, and documentation.

This role requires a self-motivated professional for a small team, with 3+ years in configuration management, TS with SCI eligibility, and hands-on experience in Jira, VersionOne, GitLab, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience: 3+ years in configuration management, systems administration, or IT infrastructure.
• Clearance Requirement: ActiveTS with SCI eligibility.
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools: Jira, VersionOne, GitLab.
• Experience with CI/CD and software automation and deployment tools: Gradle, Maven, Nexus.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Configuration Management: Establish and maintain configuration management policies, procedures, and strategies.
• Asset & Data Tracking: Oversee data consolidation and tracking of Configuration Items (CIs), hardware, and software versions.
• Change Control: Manage the change management process, document, test, and authorize changes before deployment.
• Audits & Compliance: Conduct audits to validate data integrity and ensure security/regulatory standards.
• Release Management: Support and improve release installation via automation of builds and deployments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead meetings and maintain cross-functional communication between teams.
