Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Configuration Manager for the Kettering, OH area to support AFLCMC/GB activities. You will maintain CM of system artifacts, manage change control boards, and ensure traceability across software and hardware baselines.

This onsite role requires extensive DoD configuration management experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to coordinate with program management, systems engineers, and QA teams.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field with 10 years of experience in a DoD environment, five years in the DoW.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 12 years of experience, five in the DoW.
• 15 years of directly related experience in acquisition, configuration management or program management, 8 in the DoW.
• Strong ability to perform tasks independently and oversee junior personnel.
• Expertise in CM directives, standards, and change control processes.
• Experience producing CM reports and release notes.
• Security clearance: T1/NACI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain CM of all system artifacts to enable government builds and releases to production.
• Support CM, QA, PP, RM, and SE activities across programs.
• Manage change control boards and document action items.
• Maintain CM files including identification, change control, and status accounting.
• Convene and participate in cross-functional change control boards (CCB, FRB, RRB).
• Review CM program and data deliveries for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure configuration items are properly identified and documented.
• Develop and administer configuration management plans and traceability.
