Job summary

CACI in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to lead enterprise CM/CMDB efforts across a large hybrid environment for the GMOS contract with the Department of State. This role requires strong leadership, ITIL expertise, and a deep understanding of CMDB governance and change management.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with enterprise architecture and service delivery, and present risk assessments and implementation plans to the Change Control Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 8+ years in configuration management or IT service management at scale.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with enterprise CMDB, ITIL framework, and change management.
• Proven leadership of complex CM/CM projects across distributed environments.
• Expertise in DevSecOps tooling and CI/CD pipeline design.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessments and monitoring of enterprise computing environments to ensure CM/CM compliance across 350+ facilities.
• Develop site topology configurations and change records for hybrid data centers and cloud platforms.
• Apply MDM techniques to reconcile updates and CMDB entries with baselines.
• Maintain CMDB for 40,000+ users and all devices/services.
• Create baseline documentation: reference architectures, config standards, and hardening per NIST 800-53.
• Lead Change Request prep, risk assessment, and CAB presentations with implementation plans.
• Conduct post-implementation reviews, capture lessons learned, drive process improvements.
• Architect DevSecOps tooling ecosystems (Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube) with CI/CD pipelines.
• Serve as SME for config management tools and mentor junior specialists.
• Drive strategic initiatives for CM processes and automation maturity with EA teams.
