Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Configuration Management Database Administrator located at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on managing the EDDITS system, ensuring data control, revision history, and inventories meet NASA standards.

The position requires extensive experience with document and inventory data management, Claris FileMaker, and MS Office. You will install software, deploy updates, and collaborate with NASA personnel to keep records accurate

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in a document and inventory software data management and oversight position.
• Working knowledge and detailed experience with Claris FileMaker software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage a complex database system including the ability to create, modify and manage the FileMaker database system.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for management, sustaining operation, and day to day function and implementation of the electronic database document and inventory tracking system (EDDITS).
• Ensure functionality, process control documentation, data control, and all associated information as captured in EDDITS.
• Maintain software revision control and certification compliance.
• Installation of system software across multiple platforms and systems.
• Have a detailed understanding and knowledge of EDDITS database system.
• Perform, test and deploy software and process flow updates.
• Manage day to day document and inventory data configuration control, process flow, and release of documents and inventories through EDDITS project users and NASA customers.
• Tracking, mitigating, and reporting on EDDITS software issues, concerns, and discrepancies to both NASA and contractor management.
• Working with user and service providers to ensure understanding of compliance with, and application of the database is achieved.
• Working with the project managers, systems engineers, and technical staff to improve the overall database, process controls, and resolve issues.
• Respond to NASA management to ensure user accounts are correct and current, reports are generate, and ensure government ordered audits are responded to.
• Responsible for monthly, annual, and periodic documentation and reports.
• Identify, communicate, and deconflict tasks and deliverables.
• Interface with Government, contractors, and mission partner staff
