Saab, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Data Manager to join our team in Syracuse, New York.

This role requires proven CM principles and practices derived from EIA-649, EIA-649-1, and MIL-HDBK-61B, with emphasis on process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Manager of Configuration Management, you will support multiple business units, maintain data structures, manage data and documentation deliverables, and participate in audits.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 8+ years CM experience, or MA/MS with 6+ years.
• Proven Configuration Data Management experience.
• Familiarity with EIA-649, EIA-649-1, MIL-HDBK-61B, ITAR, DFARS, and NIST 800-171.
• Exceptional attention to detail, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with data libraries, version control systems, and controlled document workflows.
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance, if required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary CM data point for program technical data and coordinate data deliveries.
• Ensure quality standards and proper data marking while following review and release procedures.
• Represent the CM organization on assigned program teams and attend meetings as required.
• Proactively identify and resolve errors to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Build software deliverables; manage databases and related documents.
