Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper seeks an experienced Quality Control Manager – Concrete in Vernon, TX to oversee QC activities on concrete projects and ensure compliance with project specs, codes, and company standards.

You will collaborate with project managers, field crews, engineers, and testing labs to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in concrete construction, quality control, inspection, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, reinforcing steel, and formwork.
• Familiarity with concrete specifications, drawings, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project-specific quality control plans for concrete work.
• Monitor placement activities to ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Review drawings, specs, submittals, mix designs, and other docs for quality.
• Coordinate and oversee concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, strength).
• Verify mix designs and ensure use of approved materials and suppliers.
