Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager – Concrete to oversee quality control activities on concrete construction projects in Vernon, Texas. You will ensure work meets project specifications, approved plans, codes, and company standards.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, engineers, testing labs, and clients to identify and resolve issues and maintain safety and contract compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in concrete construction, quality control, inspection, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, reinforcing steel, formwork, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of concrete specifications, drawings, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans for concrete construction.
• Monitor concrete placement activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, mix designs, and other technical documents for quality requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor concrete testing, including slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and strength testing.
• Verify concrete mix designs and ensure approved materials and suppliers are being used.
