Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager for concrete projects in Vernon, TX. The role focuses on overseeing quality control activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, approved plans, and codes.

You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, engineers, testing labs, and clients to identify quality issues and drive safe, efficient project completion compliant with contract requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in concrete construction, quality control, inspection, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, reinforcing steel, formwork, and testing procedures.
• Knowledge of concrete specifications, drawings, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality control plans for concrete construction.
• Monitor concrete placement activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and approved procedures.
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, mix designs, and other technical documents for quality requirements.
• Coordinate and monitor concrete testing, including slump, air content, temperature, unit weight, and strength testing.
• Verify concrete mix designs and ensure approved materials and suppliers are being used.

Payrate: $40-$45 per hour +$150 PER DIEM (pay is negotiable based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager – Concrete to oversee and manage quality control activities for concrete construction projects. This position will be responsible for ensuring concrete work meets project specifications, approved plans, applicable codes, and company quality standards.

The Quality Control Manager will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Crews, subcontractors, engineers, testing laboratories, and clients to identify and resolve quality issues and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements.
