Job summary

Kent Companies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced concrete finisher to handle all phases of flatwork, formwork, concrete placement, and finishing. You will use hand tools and equipment, follow grade lines, and collaborate with supervisors and other trades.

The role requires 2-4+ years of concrete finishing, proper PPE, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Kent Companies offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-4+ years of consistent concrete finishing experience.
• Leather work boots (steel or composite toe protection recommended).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Pour, level, and finish freshly placed concrete.
• Achieve specified finishes with attention to detail and quality.
• Wear PPE (hard hat, high-visibility clothing) as required.
• Work indoors and outdoors, including extreme weather.
• Communicate safety, quality, and problems with crew leads and supervisors.
• Use power and hand tools safely on concrete sites.
• Build and dismantle formwork and set up shoring as needed.
• Follow elevation specs and operate laser level to establish grade lines.
