Job summary

Building Ventures is hiring a Concrete Carpenter in Atlanta, GA to read layouts, build and strip form systems for sidewalks, pads, grade beams, walls, decks and stairs on a large commercial project.

The role demands hands-on formwork skills, strong safety discipline, and ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating with other trades on site. Night shifts may be required on occasion.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial concrete formwork or carpenter experience on large projects.
• Ability to read drawings and perform layout (levels, offsets, set points).
• Experience assembling gangform/modular and conventional form systems.
• Comfort using hand and power tools.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (50+ lbs) and work in confined spaces.
• Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to site.
• PFAS site training or willingness to complete.
• Must be 18+ with proof of identity/employment authorization.

Responsibilities

• Read layout and set form systems for sidewalks, pads, grade beams, walls, decks and stairs from plan layout.
• Build, secure, strip and rebuild form systems safely and to specification.
• Perform layout tasks (transfer levels, offsets, set points) and basic blueprint reading.
• Complete THA logs and follow site safety procedures, including PFAS training.
• Operate common hand and power tools; maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Work with minimal supervision and assist other trades to keep the schedule moving.
