Job summary

BWH Hotels in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Architect (Architectural Designer) to support the design department, lead initiatives, and develop property improvement plans for conversion properties and member projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture and 5+ years of experience in commercial architecture, with proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and InDesign.

NCARB/AIA/NCIDQ certifications are preferred and travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years architecture experience for commercial, industrial or institutional facilities.
• Hotel/hospitality design experience preferred.
• NCARB/AIA/NCIDQ certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create exterior hotel design packages and design criteria.
• Lead design initiatives and monitor project quality and compliance.
• Develop presentation drawings, sketches and specifications using architectural principles.
• Provide design consulting to members and promote standards compliance.
• Lead and coordinate with teams; offer technical direction and mentorship.
• Produce property improvement plans and write development recommendations.
• Maintain high quality service following company standards.
