Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. seeks a COMSEC/Network Administrator to advance Army Europe and AFRICOM missions. Installs, configures, and maintains Cisco routers/switches, VPNs, firewalls, and CUCM; supports COMSEC gear and cryptographic devices.

Leads juniors, ensures cybersecurity compliance, and maintains documentation. Strong DoD/enterprise networking background required; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of related experience
• Experience with cryptographic equipment and lifecycle support
• Senior network technician/lead in a DoD or enterprise network
• Experience configuring Cisco routing/switching technologies, CUCM, VPNs, firewalls, and advanced routing protocols
• Knowledge of WAN circuits and MPLS transport
• Experience ensuring patch and IAVA compliance
• Experience with TACLANE devices and secure communications
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and make rapid decisions during operational events
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and international driver’s permit
• Willingness to participate in on-call schedule
• Strong communication with leadership and partners

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and networking software (Cisco IOS).
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VPNs).
• Provide support for COMSEC equipment, cryptographic devices, TACLANEs, and key management.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians, ensure standardization and compliance.
• Track, manage, and report site-level network issues and risks.
• Oversee day-to-day work execution and maintain documentation.
• Coordinate with System Administrators to resolve multi-layered issues.
• Maintain network diagrams, accreditation artifacts, and baselines.
• Plan network modernization and technology upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with DoD/DISA/EMITS policies.
