Résumé du poste

syte, a PropTech startup, seeks a Senior Computer Vision / Photogrammetry Engineer based in Münster or remote Germany. You will fuse diverse data into accurate 3D models, improve textured LoD3 reconstructions, and push AI-powered 3D reconstruction into production.

We value a Master’s in a technical field and at least 4 years in urban 3D reconstruction, CV, and photogrammetry, with strong Python/Git skills and English fluency.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, GIS, Geoinformatics, Physics, Mathematics).
  • 4+ years of practical or research experience in urban 3D reconstruction, computer vision and photogrammetry, including working products or prototypes.
  • Photogrammetry and remote sensing with sensor/camera models, calibration, and orientation; combine LiDAR and aerial imagery.
  • Strong background in geometric and 3D computer vision: Structure-from-Motion, dense multi-view stereo, and point-cloud processing.
  • Fluent English (C1) required.

Responsabilités

  • Fuse data sources into a single model combining cadastral data, LiDAR, oblique imagery, and other sources.
  • Improve 3D models using multi-view stereo and Gaussian Splatting for roofs, dormers, chimneys.
  • Texture LoD3 models from oblique imagery and align features to surface for accurate floor and surface areas.
  • Implement multi-image super-resolution and occlusion-aware reconstruction to handle resolution limits and occlusions.
  • Take research to production by scaling methods from a few buildings to millions in collaboration with data engineers.
  • Develop AI-native workflows using tools like Claude Code and Copilot for CV and 3D reconstruction tasks.

Description du poste

Your missionWe are a growing PropTech startup based in Münster. Our AI-powered software is the basis for decisions in real estate development. Project developers, asset holders, banks and brokers use syte to decide in seconds whether, what and where to build, refurbish or buy. We have received the German AI Award (Deutscher KI-Preis) 2023 and the PropTech of the Year Award 2025 from the ZIA (German Property Federation). Today, our platform draws on more than 300 terabytes of geodata to provide digital twins of 62 million buildings and plots across Germany.

For our next leap, from today's building models to textured LoD3 buildings, we are looking for you as a Senior Computer Vision / Photogrammetry Engineer (m/f/d), starting at the earliest possible date, based in Münster or remote anywhere in Germany.

Your mission
  • Fuse every source into one model: Combine 2D cadastral data, LiDAR point clouds, oblique aerial imagery, nadir satellite imagery and further sources into the most accurate representation of the real world.
  • Improve our 3D models: You bring in image data and modern 3D reconstruction techniques into our product, from multi-view stereo to methods such as Gaussian Splatting, and evaluate which of them improve our building details like roofs, dormers and chimneys.
  • Reach textured LoD3: Texture our models from oblique imagery and detect windows, doors and façade elements, projecting them consistently onto the right surface of the right building, so that floor spaces, usable areas and surface areas can be calculated with far higher precision.
  • Get more out of the imagery: Implement methods such as multi-image super-resolution and occlusion‑aware reconstruction to overcome limited image resolution and occlusion by trees and other objects.
  • Take research to production: Together with our data engineers, who own the pipelines and platform, you grow methods from a handful of buildings to millions.
  • Develop AI‑natively: Utilize the full potential of modern AI coding tools like Claude Code and Copilot and proactively identify new AI use cases in the context of computer vision and 3D reconstruction.
Your profile
  • Education: Masters degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geoinformatics, Physics, Mathematics).
  • Experience: 4+ years of practical or research (e.g. PhD, Research Assistant) experience in the domain of (urban) 3D reconstruction, computer vision and photogrammetry, including the development of working products or prototypes.
  • Photogrammetry. Deep grounding in photogrammetry and remote sensing: sensor and camera models, calibration, and interior and exterior orientation. Hands‑on experience combining airborne LiDAR and aerial imagery into metrically reliable, georeferenced data.
  • Computer vision. Strong background in geometric and 3D computer vision: Structure‑from‑Motion, dense multi‑view stereo, and point‑cloud processing. Hands‑on experience turning point clouds and imagery into building models.
  • Tech stack: Proficiency in Python, particularly in the relevant libraries (numpy, scipy, pdal, gdal, ogr, etc.).
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team, including experience with software versioning (Git).
  • Interest in the domain: Willingness to dive into the demanding prop‑tech space; experience in prop‑tech, architecture, or real estate is a plus.
  • Strong self‑learner attitude: The drive to grow fast and make a real impact in an accelerating startup and to stay at the edge of technology, particularly cloud technologies and AI.
  • Language: You are fluent in English (C1 required).
Cherry on top
  • Experience in Cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
  • German language skills are a plus.
Start date and location of deployment
  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Location: Münster or remote across Germany
Your benefits
  • Your competitive salary: We make sure every part of your journey at syte is motivating. We know your worth!
  • Your hardware: Our syte team works with state‑of‑the‑art hardware and software.
  • Your team: Once a quarter, the whole team gets together for two days to work and celebrate our successes.
  • Your flexibility: Besides our team workations, you can also work from abroad for personal reasons.
  • Your dog in the office: Your four‑legged companion is very welcome and can join you at the office anytime.
  • Your personal benefits budget: €2,200 per year for whatever matters to you:
  • Upskilling: You have a budget for both professional and personal development.
  • Equipment: In addition to your initial setup with state‑of‑the‑art Apple hardware, you get an extra budget to equip your workspace.
  • Tax-optimized benefits: You can use your budget for tax‑advantaged options such as tax‑free non‑cash benefits, an internet allowance, a mobility allowance, a recreation allowance or a childcare (daycare) subsidy.
  • Health & wellbeing: You can also spend your budget on anything that's good for body and mind, such as an Urban Sports Club membership, physiotherapy or vacation trips.
  • BusinessBike: Through our partnership with BusinessBike, you can easily lease the bike of your choice.
